How are the treatment plans personalised
By examining all aspects of your life, from diet and environment to medical history, well-being, recent tests, and lifestyle, naturopathic practitioners aim to not only alleviate symptoms but also address the root causes of your health concerns.
After a comprehensive assessment, a personalised treatment plan is created to meet your individual needs, lifestyle, nutrition, and health goals.
What can be included in your personalised treatment plan are targeted strategies, including herbal medicine, nutritional supplements, nutrition recommendations, and lifestyle recommendations.
What qualification does a naturopath need to practice in Australia
To be a qualified naturopathic practitioner in Australia, all graduates from 2019 and onwards are required to have a Bachelor of Health Science in Naturopathy, which is equivalent to 4 years of full-time study.
What is evidence-informed practice
An integral component of contemporary naturopathic care is integrating traditional philosophy with evidence-informed practice. Evidence-informed practice takes into consideration patient preferences, clinician experience, and relevant scientific studies to facilitate the effective and consistent application of evidence in practice.
Additionally, naturopathic practitioners apply critical thinking based on findings from systematic reviews, randomised controlled trials, qualitative research, quantitative research, and mixed methods and utilise them in an integrative manner.
